A lawyer in the making
She loves the smell of leather. Her favorite genre of music is country. She can’t live without Buc-ee’s beef jerky. Her favorite source of entertainment is going to a rodeo. Long story short, she’s Micaela Williams.
What’s your favorite class of the day and why?
My favorite class is law. I like law, because I get to learn tips and tricks about how to become a successful lawyer. Not only do I get to learn about that, but I also get to learn about criminal justice, which really excites me.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to become a lawyer. I want to be able to help those in need, by using my communication skills, and my great arguing skills to help my clients in court.
Are you thinking about going to college, and if so where?
Yes, the University Of Michigan, because it’s known to be a really good law school.
Who or what influences you?
My mom. She wants to see me achieve my goals and succeed in life. My friends also influence me by putting me in a happy mood, making me excited to want to go to school and learn.
What are you most looking forward to in high school?
I’m looking forward to the new opportunities that high school brings, as well as the opportunity to meet new people.
What strategies do you take to get your work turned in on time?
As soon as I get my assignment, I try to get it done right away, so I don’t procrastinate. I also make sure to write down all the assignments I have due, and what day they need to be turned in by. I constantly check what I have written, so I don’t turn something in late.
What is one of your strengths?
A strength of mine would definitely be time management. I’m well organized making sure to get everything done, so I can move onto the next task at hand. I try hard to focus on my work, trying to get it done as fast as possible. I’m also well prepared, making sure I have everything I need in order to stay focused and be successful.
What tips would you give to those wanting to become a lawyer?
It takes dedication, and hard work in order to become a successful lawyer. That being said, you should always try your best to pay attention to every single detail that has been said, the tiniest details are what helps you win your cases. You’ll need to check over your work a ton of times, so you don’t accidentally miss any supporting details. You must also pay very close attention and observe everything that you’re given.
