Hello :) I’m Avery Platt. I’m a senior. I don’t enjoy talking about myself or talking in general, but I will try my best. 

I am not a social butterfly or an athlete. I am also not super duper smart or extremely outgoing. I don’t like pickles or Chinese food. I hate animals no matter how cute they are. I can’t speak any foreign languages and I don't have the ability to sing the alphabet backwards. 

I do however have the ability to read music and touch my tongue to my nose. I enjoy reading, writing and taking photographs. I am the last person to hear about a new trend. I LOVE Mexican food and listening to music while driving. I can read a novel in two days or less depending on the subject. 

I plan on going to Collin College after high school and then transfer to a university. I am not 100% on what university I want to go to or what career I want to pursue.

Riding for the Brand \\ Typing away on the Chromebook Feb. 12 during Wylie Way Day, senior Julia Horne discovers her personality type after a series of questions. “I am personality type ISTJ which means I focus my attention inward, maintain control over projects, work better with real things rather than ideas and analyze problems logically,” Horne said. “The most surprising part of the results was that I make thoughtful and practical decisions because I am kinda a mess.”

Golden \\ Winning the plate contest, senior Delaney Crane accepts the golden egg of Christmas. “Choir is a safe place where I can go whenever Im feeling stressed or overwhelmed,” Crane said. “Making music with choir warms my heart and gives me the inspiration to bring more passion and heart to my everyday life, and to always see the beauty in things.”

Smiley \\ TryAing to win a game of hot potato, sophomore Ily Crawford stays calm, cool and smiley. “Choir is sort of a home away from home for me because even though Im pretty quiet, I feel like Im home wherever Im singing with choir,” Crawford said.

Oh, deer \\ Devan Hardemon smiles as he is presented with the “most likely to get run over by a reindeer” superlative, which was voted on by his classmates. “I thought I won that because Im a very clumsy person,” Hardemon said. “Choir to me is just a really fun large family with a passion for singing.”
