Mrs. Kara Cooke joins the growing health sciences department. She brings professional health care experience to the classroom.

 

What school district did you come from?

I came from Plano East High School.

 

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching for three years but am coming 22 years from experience in the healthcare field.

 

What was the most exciting thing you’ve experienced so far this year?

My most exciting memory so far this year was when I got nominated for teacher appreciation by a football player and was allowed to watch the game on the sideline.

 

What inspired you to teach?

I always knew when I left the field that I would teach because I really wanted to educate future healthcare professionals.

 

What is your goal by the end of the year?

To leave a positive impact on each one of my students.

 

Question of the week: If you could make a rule for a day and everyone had to follow it, what would it be?

Be kind because a small act of kindness has the potential to turn a life around.
