Spanish Honor Society inducts new members

On stage \ Seniors Abby Welsh and Jimmy Phan help lead the Spanish Honor Society’s induction ceremony April 7.

The Spanish Honor Society Induction was April 7, 2016, in the auditorium. Forty plus new members were added.

Spanish teacher Jennifer Terry  was the invited guest speaker and spoke on her experiences of learning Spanish.

“Congratulations to all the newly inducted members of the Wylie East High School Eastern Point Chapter of the Spanish Honor Society,” Spanish teacher and SHH sponsor Katharine Isbell said. “The purpose of the society is to recognize high student achievement in Spanish. These students have all maintained an honor average in their Spanish studies as well as a high overall GPA. Congratulations again!”

The 2016 graduating seniors of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica were presented with graduation cords representing their exceptional achievements in Spanish.

A reception was held in the media center directly following the induction ceremony.
