Juniors and seniors in Veterinarian medicine, also known as vet med, are dissecting various animal organs such as sheep lungs, brain, heart and also a fetal pigs Oct. 29 through Nov. 2.

Dissection is a very messy process and students eagerly await the chance to open up and examine the specimen’s bodily organs.

“I learned to not keep your face too close, you may get juices on you,” Junior Andrea Stewart said.

Many students questioned if dissecting a fetal pig was morally right, but the ag members tend to disagree.

“I don’t really feel bad. The animals were already dead and it’s to help us gain knowledge and experience,” Junior Heather Guyer said.

Not only will this help the students be further educated on the subject but it better helps them in our career.

“I want to be a vet, so knowing where certain body parts are and how they work will help out,” Junior Rachel Hoffman said.

Depending on suplys students had to work in partners and manage their time wisely.

“I love it. I think it’s a fun and unique experience”
