I think I’m fat

Starving yourself is not okay

Ok ladies and gentleman, let’s have a little heart to heart. Yes, I see you there, starving yourself to death because your body doesn’t look like the super models in the magazines and on the TV. And I know that it’s hard to live in a world where you are immersed in a culture that expects girls to be a size zero with 10 pound weights on their chests and for guys to have eight pack abs and rippled muscled arms.

That. Is. Not . Natural! Don’t degrade yourself to thinking that you aren’t good enough because you don’t look like that. Why are you making yourself miserable because you don’t have the picture perfect body? Even the magazine models have pixels shaven off to make them look even thinner. If you don’t like your body, don’t starve yourself, exercise and eat smaller portions more often. The, I-haven’t-eaten-a-real-meal-in-years, look isn’t attractive on anyone.

Go eat something and enjoy life. The teen years aren’t meant to be used to starve yourself to the point of looking like skin stretched over a skeleton. See you on the other side.
