After the Thursday night victory against North Side, Raider Nation kicked off the morning tuned into 99.5 the Wolf.

Seniors Jacob Pryor and Jose (Chico) Sanchez got to live one of their dreams Sept. 21, getting interviewed by their favorite morning radio hosts.

It’s great to recognize two of our great seniors putting commitment into the team.

“I’ve wanted to do it for a long time,” Pryor said. “I was excited and I wanted to hear myself on the radio.”

The station called the school. While on speaker phone, the two seniors and Coach Mike Dormady were interviewed about football and dedication towards the team.

“I was starstruck because all my hard work was being rewarded,” Sanchez said.

Every week, 99.5 the Wolf DJs interview players and coaches from a different school to be featured on their morning show.

The station cut the boys’ interview into the song Boys Of Fall by Kenny Chesney.

“We did not pick the song,” Pryor said, “but loved it.”

Both of the football players have played since about third grade.

Sanchez plays inside/middle linebacker, while Pryor plays right tackle.

“Getting selected by the Wolf is an honor,” Coach Dormady said.

He wanted two leaders on the football team to be interviewed with him, so he selected Sanchez and Pryor.

“It’s great to recognize two of our great seniors putting commitment into the team,” Coach Dormady said.
