Five seconds of summer is greatness

One of the best breakthrough bands

If you haven’t heard about Five Seconds of Summer yet you must definitely be living under a rock, and missing one of the greatest bands around.

Australian punk rock band, Five Seconds of Summer, has taken a great space in the music industry. They are young guys who started off just about three years ago and have gone far in their career and have won some awards including some MTV and Billboard awards.

They give off a dark impression, dressed in ripped black jeans some tattoos and piercings. These four boys are heart throbs and have already gathered a lot of fans called the 5sosfam. But it’s not all about looks. Their music is a huge part of what they are, but keeping in mind that they went on tour with the band One Direction, some people can’t help but to call them a boy band. Which is utterly wrong.

Five Seconds of Summer’s music is catchy and really worth listening to. Their songs vary from electric guitar solos to acoustic love songs. Although the band can seem more pop than punk rock the music they play says otherwise like in their song “Reject” featuring some outstanding electric guitar. Lead singer Luke Hemmings has a wonderful voice and can go high and low to different octaves.

The other vocalists:  Calum Hood, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin are amazing vocalists and create perfect harmonies. They all play different instruments in which they are highly skilled. Not many can sing and play an instrument and sound amazing. They never abandon their dedication to teenage life and realism. Unlike most boy bands, Five Seconds of Summer has no use for winking euphemisms.

Their music sounds similar to other bands like Blink 182 and Boys Like Girls but they manage to make it their own.

Over all they are still young and some might under estimate their talent and abilities, but they are a brilliant band that should be taken seriously.
