My Chemical Romance: a dangerous change

Band completely changes its style with new album

After three years of disappearing off the face of the Earth, My Chemical Romance came back. They exchanged the guy liner, melodramatic opera and marching uniforms for a quick paced fierce post apocalyptic music.

Their new album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys”, includes the track by the name SING. In my honest opinion it’s a rather cliché song. The whole “don’t be scared to be who you are” and “tell the world who you are” is a theme that most artists and bands seem to be incorporating nowadays.

“And raise your voice every single time they try and shut your mouth,” it seems like that’s the thing now a days. Every time someone tells you something you don’t like, to rebel back. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m a very big fan of MCR, but their new album highly disappointed me.

What I do like about this song is the beat. It’s pretty upbeat and just inspiring in general. They try to get the audience to believe there is a hope for human kind.

I think the message this song is trying to send is to be true to yourself in all aspects because, someday the world is going to need the real you to save them. After all that’s kind of the whole point of their new album being the heroes against some type of evil doctors. “You go to be what tomorrow needs.”
