Trick or tease?

Girls dress in racy costumes for Halloween

From trick or treat to working the streets, Halloween costumes are at an all-time low. Low cut that is. Halloween used to be a time for taking on a different identity and getting treats, but nurses have gone naughty and candy isn’t what they’re after anymore. Halloween is supposed to be about trick-or-treating, carving pumpkins and haunted houses, but frankly the scariest thing about Halloween is how trashy the costumes have become.

Halloween costumes don’t necessarily have to cover every inch of skin, but they should cover more than the average bra and underwear.

There are girls parading the streets in push-up bras, bathing suit bottoms with fish nets and animal ears claiming to be some sort of animal, but an animal isn’t what others are calling them. Halloween costumes aren’t just costumes anymore; they’re a cry for sexual attention. Girls should have a little self-respect and put some clothes on. They should know that there is a way to be cute for Halloween without dressing like a prostitute.

On the other hand, the girls who dress this way see Halloween as an excuse to show a side of themselves that they usually wouldn’t show. They really feel that if they dress this way on Halloween people can’t judge them because it’s a costume.

Instead of dressing in nearly no clothing at all, girls should wear more appropriate costumes that are still very cute and they still show a little bit of skin. There is a way to be sexy by still staying classy.

If these repugnant costumes were worn on an everyday basis these girls would be called derogatory names for wearing hardly any clothing. Halloween shouldn’t be any different.
