Best and worst Valentines gifts for girls

Chocolates and flowers are great standbys when it comes to Saint Valentine’s Day gifts, but eventually the chocolates get eaten and the flowers wilt and get thrown away.

Asking around and spotting gifts in lovers’ hands, it is easy to tell who likes their gift and who is ready to burn it. Teddy bears, balloons, chocolate and flowers are most common. Some girls LOVE them, but in the wrong hands, the bear’s head is ripped off, the balloon strings are cut and released, the chocolates are thrown on the ground, and the flowers are stomped on. (Trust me, I witnessed a few of these acts of violence).

Not every girl likes everything ordinary, some like extravagant and some just like the things they can’t live without. Freshman Kati Klakamp said her all time worst Valentine gift was chap stick, but Stephanie Knight, A&M Commerce student, said her favorite gift was hand sanitizer. It really does depend on the girl you are buying for.

Conducting a survey at school today revealed that the highest rated “gift” you could get your girl was dinner and a movie. More girls tended to care about the sentiment versus the expense. The lowest rated “gift” idea was “I don’t want anything”.  Plain and simple, every girl wants something whether they say it or not.
