Dailey Life

Dailey Life

Many people dream about being captain of the cheerleading squad or quarterback of the football team. Then there are those few who don’t care at all about being liked or being popular; they just want to have fun and play videogames. Luke Dailey plays more than 30 hours of video games a week, but he doesn’t fit the typical couch potato persona. He benches 230 pounds, and runs a 40 in 4.9 seconds.

Dailey easily passed his fitnessgram test. That means that he is in considerably good physical shape. However, for reasons only he can explain, he does not play sports.

“Well, video games can be very taxing,” Dailey said.

Dailey works out every day for 30 minutes. The strange thing is that he manages to do this while he plays video games.

“I do push-ups and sit-ups between games of MAG and when the respawn time is too long,” Dailey said.

Dailey has mastered multitasking. He plays three hours worth of video games and squeezes in 30 minutes of push-ups. Typically this would take three and a half hours, but he manages to combine the activities into just three hours.

“I like being productive and not totally wasting my life,” Dailey said.

Popularity doesn’t matter to Dailey; he just cares about being happy with himself. He feels that his life doesn’t revolve around school.

“How people see me now won’t affect whether I’m making millions or flipping patties 10 years from now,” Dailey said.
