Down the right path \\ Senior Maddie Smith is in the journalism career pathway. She is an editor on both yearbook and newspaper staffs.

Featuring East and WHS’s yearbook and newspaper programs, junior Addie Orr explains the journalism career pathway and what all it has to offer in Wylie ISD.

Orr is an editor on both the yearbook and newspaper staffs. Students who take the journalism pathway gain experience in the field of mass print media.

They’ll learn the basics in journalism and photojournalism then join the yearbook and/or newspaper staffs to produce four different publications. Students in this career pathway will have their work published, gain sales, advertising, graphic design, photography and writing experience and so much more!

This just in: those choosing to take this pathway will now have a chance to gain an Adobe certification by graduation!
