Have a love of gaming? Come join Video Game Club where students can play all kinds of video games.

Video Game Club is a place where kids who love gaming can join together to appreciate the games.

“They talk about the experience and the fun they have while playing the games,” Sponsor Mr. David Shipp said. “I like that games allow kids to excel in things that are often not measured in a lot of the other types of competitions out there.”

The club has sections that meet at different times and play video games from cards to PC Games. One of the newest sections is the game design team.

“This year the game design team will work towards writing an original video game that includes art, a storyline and programming,” Mr. Shipp said.

Another popular section of the club is where you clan play fighting video games.

“We all meet together weekly in Mr. Shipp’s room,” Fighting game leader Andrew Calkin said. “People bring in systems so we can all play different kinds of fighting games.”

Every so often, Video Game Club meets after school to eat pizza and play video games.

“We eat pizza, and have multiple systems all running at the same time around the science lab,” Mr. Shipp said. “We stay up here for a few hours and have fun.”
