Two students from the Class of 2015 received recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Program for their performances on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

Senior Nathan Porter was named a National Merit Semifinalist.

Senior Gregory Berumen was named a National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholar.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955.  High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT®, a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.5 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.

Top performers are eligible for scholarships awarded through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and independent organizations.
