Homecoming was a big deal this year. The students enjoyed getting to dress up the week of homecoming in all of their spirited clothing, and then getting the opportunity to vote for prince and princess, and for one junior it was even more special.

Steven Armstrong and Peyton Anderson were even more surprised that they had both been nominated as a couple because they did not think they were that popular among their peers. Armstrong had just moved back to East from WHS right before the nominations.

 “This year was awesome because [Peyton and I] got nominated for homecoming prince and princess. We were so close to winning,” Armstrong said.

Even though they didn’t win, both Armstrong and Anderson were very happy to have been nominated.

“It made me feel very special that my peers nominated me for Junior Princess for Homecoming 2010. Even though Steven and I didn’t win, it was still a great experience that I will remember my whole life,” Anderson said.
