New class offers job experience for teens with disabilities

Coach BJ Smith will teach a vocational programs class next year.  Students with disabilities will participate in career-oriented classes, and become an active part of the community.  Students will gain business training and earn chances of employment.

To apply students must fill out two single-page forms and mail them to their state’s WOTC coordinator. 

Students must get the IRS form 8850.  This form must be mailed to the employer’s state workforce agency before the 28th day after the job applicant begins work.  Forms can be obtained at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-fill/f8850.pdf.  The instructions for the form are at http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8850.pdf.   

You also need the U.S. Department of labor form ETA 9061.  You can find this form at http://www.doleta.gov/business/Incentives/opptax/.
